The Atlanta Hawks came out focused and ready to play. The Sixers made a rub at the end of the game to make the score close. However, the Hawks were able to pull off the game 1 upset over the Sixers, 128-124. Winning game 1 is huge for the Atlanta Hawks confidence because now they have stolen the Home-court advantage from the Sixers.
Trae Young led the way with 35 points on 11 of 23 shooting from the field. Young also dished out 10 assists and grabbed 2 rebounds. He scored 25 of his 35 points in the first half. He hit an array of 3 pointers and floaters to get his buckets. He played with the mindset to win and showed no fear. You g spoke on his team’s mindset now and moving forward.

Other Hawks players played extremely well and helped the team get the big game 1 win.
- Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 21 points on 7 of 17 shooting from the field. He knocked down 5 of 12 from behind the 3-point line. He also grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 5 assists in 36 minutes of play.
- John Collins scored 21 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 2 assists.
- Clint Capela scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
- Kevin Huerter scored 15 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists off of the bench.
Game 2 is Tuesday, 6/8 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Tip-off is at 7:30 pm Eastern and will air on TNT.
