It’s been a very rough patch in the season for OKC. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander still out with his plantar fasciitis in his right foot, Horford sitting for the rest of the season, and other small injuries putting other players on the sideline, the tank has rolled on.
There is still no sure timeline on SGA’s injury, but he will be re-evaluated in mid-April with hopes to hear a tentative return date.
The Thunder are currently tied with the Wizards for the sixth-worst record in the league.
More out of Oklahoma City
- The Thunder will reportedly bring over 6-foot-6 guard Vasilije Micic during the offseason. Micic, who is widely considered one of the best players not currently in the NBA, did not accept his renewal offer from Anadolu Efes and rejected the offer from Real Madrid. Oklahoma City acquired the 27-year-old from the Sixers in the Al Horford deal.
- Darius Bazley and Lu Dort made their return to the lineup on Saturday in the 117-93 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Dort had 15 points and five rebounds. Bazley followed this up with an impressive 17 points and nine rebounds on 7-12 shooting (3-4 behind the arc). “We definitely feel their presence just from like an athleticism standpoint,” Coach Daigneault stated.
- Tony Bradley, who arrived in OKC via the George Hill trade at the deadline, also had a good game against the 76ers, tallying 16 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks.
- Jaylen Hoard, who recently signed with the Thunder on a two-way deal, has appeared in four games this season, averaging 10.8 PPG.
- ICYMI: Gabriel Deck is on his way to OKC on a four-year deal, the Thunder announced. The deal is only guaranteed through this season, the other three are non-guaranteed. Deck will earn $14.5 million if he remains under contract.
