The Miami Heat ended the 2020-2021 season on a high note. Minus some of their key guys, the Heat still routed the Pistons 120-107 in Detroit at Little Caesars Arena.
Coach Erik Spoelstra was extremely pleased with his squad’s performance, especially since key players were out and the younger guys stepped up.
“I feel great for those young guys to be able to get out there and compete, and also show how much they’ve improved since the beginning of the year,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “You can see the improvement that they’ve made, and it translates to impacting winning. Even in a game like this, it mattered, and they did it together.”
The Heat got contributions from multiple players to help them earn the win.
- Precious Achiuwa led the way for the Heat with 23 points and 10 rebounds in 42 minutes of play.
- Nemanja Bjelica scored 21 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out six assists.
- Tyler Herro scored 16 points and dished out 11 assists.
- Gabe Vincent scored 15 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out 10 assists
- Max Strus scored 20 points, grabbed four rebounds, and dished out 2 assists.
