Philadelphia 76ers assistant Kevin Young has agreed to join coach Monty Williams’ staff with the Phoenix Suns, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Young, 38, has been an assistant with the 76ers since 2016, spending all four of those seasons under Brett Brown. New 76ers coach Doc Rivers is expected to bring in largely his own team of assistants.
Prior to that, Young was the head coach of the Delaware 87ers of the G-League. He also served as coach of the G-League’s Iowa Energy from 2011-13.
Williams and the Suns finished 8-0 in the NBA restart on the Disney campus, but fell short of a playoff berth.
