The Phoenix Suns have waived center/forward Damian Jones, the NBA revealed in its transactions log.
Jones, 25, is 6-foot-11 and sign a partially guaranteed two-year deal with the Suns in the offseason. He appeared in just 14 games, averaging less than 7 minutes a night.
Jones has also spent time with the Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks. He was the No. 30 overall pick in the 2016 draft.
By releasing Jones, the Suns have created a roster opening.
“No names yet just roster flexibility being created with the decision to waive Damian Jones,” reported John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports.
