The Team USA men’s basketball team won three straight to kick off the Olympic Games in Paris, taking down the likes of Serbia, South Sudan, and Puerto Rico.
Anthony Edwards exploded for 26 points off the bench in their win over Puerto Rico and LeBron James has lived up to his “Captain LeMerica” nickname, averaging 14.3 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.7 rebounds per game over the three group stage wins. Even Kevin Durant has settled nicely into a sixth-man role, averaging 12.7 points per game. Team USA also has several defensive stalwarts they can mix and match within any given lineup, including Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, Derrick White, and Jrue Holiday.
