Victor Oladipo hasn’t yet suited up for the Rockets after being traded to Houston on Wednesday and he may not want to stick around for long once he gets to his new home.
Sources tell Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer that Oladipo would still prefer to play for the Heat. Oladipo has been connected to Miami and other franchise while he was still on the Pacers’ roster with the assumption around the league that he’d leave Indiana in free agency.
The Rockets have some restrictions to trading him—Houston can’t aggregate Oladipo’s salary in a deal until March 5—though they likely could net assets for him. Will that deal net a player or assets greater than Caris LeVert, whom Houston opted to flip to Indiana? Time will tell.
