Steve Nash spoke highly of Alize Johnson when speaking to reporters before the Nets-Pelicans game and it sounds like Johnson has a future with the franchise past his current 10-day deal.
“He’s been outstanding, works hard, plays with incredible energy,” Nash said ( via Ian Begley of SNY.tv). “…We think he’s a player that can help us.”
Johnson’s second 10-day contract expires this weekend and they’d have to sign him for the remainder of the regular season should they look to retain him. Seems likely given Brooklyn’s variety of injuries and the former second-rounder’s fit.
