The Bucks are one of the teams James Harden has his eyes on but the feeling isn’t mutual. The franchise doesn’t see Harden as a “culture fit for their group,” sources tell Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Harden have publicly thrown jabs in the past and seeing them team-up isn’t going to happen with the Bucks having no plans to trade for Houston’s star.
Milwaukee would have difficulty putting together a reasonable offer for Harden regardless. The team traded away two future first-round picks and two pick swaps in the Jrue Holiday deal and if they were to put together a proposal, it would likely have to involve Khris Middleton, who is having a strong start to the 2020-21 campaign despite the Bucks’ uneven beginning to their season.
Harden recently added the Blazers and Celtics to his list of preferred destinations. In addition to those and Milwaukee, he reportedly has interest in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and Miami.
