The Mavericks will be on the lookout for point guard help over the next couple of weeks as they want to find someone who can take some of the ball-handling and play-making pressure off of Luka Doncic.
Dallas has shown interest in Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley among others as they look to fill that role, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst writes.
Lowry has no shortage of suitors this offseason with the Lakers, Sixers, Heat, and Pelicans also eyeing the 35-year-old point guard. As for Conley, the Jazz are expected to make a hard push to re-sign him—even trading away some veterans on mid-sized deals in order to make a long-term deal work with him
Latest on Mavericks, Kawhi Leonard
The Mavericks had been linked to Kawhi Leonard, who is in serious risk of missing the entire 2021/22 season after undergoing ACL surgery.
Dallas has been deemed the “biggest threat” to pry Leonard out of California, though, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com, there’s no indication that the former Finals MVP will leave the Clippers this offseason.
