The Houston Rockets have signed free agent guard Armoni Brooks to a two-way contract, the team announced.
Brooks is 6-foot-3 and went undrafted out the University of Houston in 2019. Brooks has since spent time in the G League, including time with the Rockets’ affiliate this past season.
In order to make room for Brooks, the Rockets announced that they’ve waived veteran shooting guard Ben McLemore and center Justin Patton. Both McLemore and Patton are former first-round picks. Per reports, McLemore is expected to draw interest from multiple playoff teams.
