Mitchell Robinson will miss four-to-six weeks as he’ll need to undergo hand surgery, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The center fractured his hand on Friday night against the Wizards.
The former second-round pick was having a nice season, posting 8.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. He was shooting 65.3 percent from the field.
Nerlens Noel is the Knicks’ backup center and will probably see a major bump in minutes. Julius Randle could also see more time at the five, which would allow someone like Kevin Knox to get back in the regular rotation as a small-ball four.
