The Detroit Pistons have decided against extending a qualifying offer to center/forward Thon Maker, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Maker, 23, will enter unrestricted free agency when the market opens Friday at 6 p.m. EST.
The 7-footer was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks with the No. 10 overall pick in 2016. He appeared in 60 games with the Pistons last season, averaging 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds.
He was due to make $4.7 million had the Pistons extended the offer.
