Myles Turner has suffered a partial tear of his plantar plate in the great toe of his right foot, according to the Indiana Pacers. He is out indefinitely.
The Pacers are currently sitting in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, as they’re three games ahead of the Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards. However, all three teams are more than capable of making up ground to get them into the play-in tournament.
With the Pacers losing Turner for an indefinite period of time, Goga Bitadze figures to step in and give Indiana some meaningful minutes at the center position.
Turner is averaging 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and a career-high 3.4 blocks in 47 games this season.
