Opposing executives see how James Harden is holding out for no good reason with the Houston Rockets, and are growing a little concerned.
“I have already heard from, I don’t know, three, four people out of the blue today who don’t work for the Rockets but work for the other 29 teams saying, ‘The league has to step in and do something about this. This is not OK,'” ESPN insider Zach Lowe relayed on the The Lowe Post Podcast (via RealGM).
“This is going to become the latest referendum on player empowerment and when does it go too far? I think it’s a nuanced and fascinating topic. But it’s already spiraling out of control.”
Harden reportedly is seeking a trade and seems as determined as ever, given that former teammate Russell Westbrook‘s trade request was met last week. That’s when Westbrook was sent to the Washington Wizards for John Wall and a draft pick.
