The Warriors have interest in trading for Victor Oladipo, though the Rockets apparently have a high asking price. Houston would want either James Wiseman or the Timberwolves’ 2021 first-round pick (acquiring in last season’s D’Angelo Russell deal).
It’s been reported that Golden State would only trade either of those assets for a “perennial All-Star.”
Oladipo, once an All-Star, hasn’t shown that same potential since he ruptured his quad tendon early in 2019. He’s sporting a 15.2 player efficiency rating during his short time in Houston this year, down from a career average of 16.5.
More NBA Trade Rumors
- Oladipo is likely “to be prominent in conversations,” leading up to the deadline, said Adrian Wojnarowski on his podcast. “I think there’s a lot of teams with interested in Victor, but the question is going to be ‘What price?'”
- On the same podcast, Woj indicated that he believes the Nets will net an asset for Spencer Dinwiddie. The combo guard, who remains out for the season, has been linked to the Pistons and Heat among other teams.
- The Heat discussed deals for Rudy Gay and P.J. Tucker prior to making the move for Trevor Ariza, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald relays. Some within Miami’s organization preferred Gay over Ariza, though the Spurs were seeking more than the Heat were willing to offer. Tucker ultimately was dealt to the Bucks while Gay remains in San Antonio as of this writing.
- George Hill continues to be mentioned as a Clippers’ target with ESPN’s Brian Windhorst as the latest reported to link the point guard to Los Angeles. Hill previously played under coach Tyronn Lue in Cleveland, though Windhorst cautions that the Clippers may have to move Lou Williams to make a Hill deal possible.
