Bringing you the latest trade rumors surrounding the Toronto Raptors, the Washington Wizards and more!
Raptors Trade Talk
Toronto made the first deal of the trade season, sending OG Anunoby to the Knicks in a deal that netted RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, and there has been plenty of speculation suggesting that the team could make additional trades.
Pascal Siakam‘s situation appears to be the next domino ready to fall. Adrian Wojnarowski provided a trade update on his most recent NBA Today appearance (h/t NBA journalist Evan Sidery).

The Pacers have previously been linked to Siakam in the past as have the Kings and Hawks. The Grizzlies and Pistons have also been rumored to be destinations for the big man.
Siakam likely won’t be the only Raptor moved if the team does indeed re-tool around Scottie Barnes. Other Toronto veterans, such as Otto Porter Jr., may find themselves in new homes as well.
In his latest mailbag, Eric Koreen of The Athletic examined what trades the Celtics and Raptors could make, landing on Otto Porter Jr. heading to Boston as the strongest possibility.
Porter’s $6.3-million salary can be moved to Boston via the traded player exception the Celtics created in the Grant Williams sign-and-trade. The Celtics probably have grander designs for the TPE, but when you are going for a title, a player like Porter could be useful.
Porter makes a lot of sense for the Celtics, who are the favorite to win the 2024 NBA title but could certainly look at upgrades around the edges of their roster.
Wizards Expected To Be Active
The Washington Wizards are sure to be one of the more active teams ahead of the NBA trade deadline and we broke down the chances of each of their players being traded in our trade deadline preview.
Kyle Kuzma is eligible to be traded on January 15 and recent reports suggest that the Wizards could net a significant asset, such as a lightly protected first-rounder for the forward. Tyus Jones is also garnering interest and he could ultimately net Washington a decent return as well.
🏀 Tyus Jones, who arguably has the most trade value among players who are likely to be dealt, is quietly having an effective season…
…The 27-year-old point guard will be a free agent at the end of the year and according to the latest trade rumors, the Wizards could be offered some significant draft capital for Jones ahead of the deadline. While he would be a nice fit as a long-term piece in the DMV, he certainly can help a rival team compete during the remainder of the season (the Cavaliers, Timberwolves and Suns stand out as logical trade partners).
Only four Wizards players—Johnny Davis, Bilal Coulibaly, Deni Avdija, and Patrick Baldwin Jr.—are deemed as unlikely to be traded in our 2024 Trade Deadline Preview. Other categories included: Biggest name who could be traded, Wizards expected to be traded, and Wait-and-See Wizards.
