The Lakers are feeling a sense of urgency to make some moves ahead of Thursday’s deadline, Dave McMenamin of ESPN writes.
Their blowout loss to the Bucks Tuesday night led to the “uneasy admission” in the locker room that their current roster is just not working, and staying pat at the trade deadline isn’t seen as a viable option by Lakers players.
“Do I think we can reach the level where Milwaukee is right now? Um, no,” LeBron James said (as relayed by Bill Oram of The Athletic). “Is that what you wanted to hear? No.”
