The Wizards have dropped six straight games, but that won’t stop them from going big at the trade deadline, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype said on his latest podcast.
Scotto identified Domantas Sabonis and Jerami Grant as two potential trade targets in order to keep Bradley Beal happy in Washington.
Sabonis has emerged as a “significant” trade target for the Wizards, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.
The Pacers are looking for something greater than or equal to the same package the Magic got from the Bulls in the Nikola Vucevic trade. Fischer suggests that the Wizards would have to part with at least two of Rui Hachimura, Deni Avdija and Corey Kispert with Thomas Bryant and/or Montrezl Harrell also going the other way to match salaries.
While Beal has expressed an openness to playing with Sabonis, he hasn’t actively encouraged the Wizards to acquire him.
There is also a belief that Beal has signaled his plans to re-sign with the Wizards over the offseason.
