While the NBA has been handling most of the pre-draft process, teams will now be allowed to conduct in-person workouts with prospects from Oct. 16-Nov. 16, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Each prospect will be allowed to visit a maximum of 10 teams, Charania relayed, with each team being allowed two visits per player.
The NBA draft is scheduled for Nov. 18.
So far, there has been little buzz about prospects, interviews and workouts, with the league controlling the information and dispersing it to teams. Generally, teams will float rumors and information (false and otherwise) to the media to benefit themselves come draft day.
Per Charania, three team executives are allowed for each prospect visit. Prospects are allowed to bring three individuals with them to workouts, such as agents or family members, Charania added.
Along with workouts, prospects will take part in interviews and receive physicals while on visits with individual teams.
The Minnesota Timberwolves own the top pick in the draft, followed by the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.
