Zion Williamson talked about how much he loves playing in New York in his postgame comments following the New Orleans Hornets’ loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, calling it the mecca of basketball.
“Honestly, outside of New Orleans, obviously, I think this might be my favorite place to play outside of New Orleans,” Williamson said. “This atmosphere, whether they are cheering for you or booing for you, it’s amazing.”
While Williamson expressed his love for New York, it’s highly unlikely he ends up there any time soon. He’s still two years away from restricted free agency, and it would take an ugly trade demand or situation to get the rising star out of “The Big Easy.”
