NBA Injury Notes: SGA, Redick, Dragic, Spurs, Zion, Ball

Chris Crouse by Chris Crouse

Reading Time: 3 mins read

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will continue to miss time with plantar fasciitis in his right foot. The point guard hasn’t played since March 22 and isn’t expected back until mid-April.

“(Mid-April) will be our next touchpoint with him,” Head coach Mark Daigneault said of SGA (via ESPN’s Royce Young). “He’s progressing and doing his thing.”

Young notes that there’s an expectation that the former Kentucky Wildcat returns before the end of the season.

More NBA Injury Notes

  • J.J. Redick (heel) isn’t ready to practice with his new team, though he’ll travel with the Mavericks on their upcoming road trip, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com. There’s no timeline for the shooting guard to make his debut with Dallas.

  • Goran Dragic (back) won’t play against the Warriors on Thursday night, per the team. Kendrick Nunn is also questionable with a right ankle injury.

  • The Spurs will be without Lonnie Walker (right wrist), Trey Lyles (sprained right ankle), and Gorgui Dieng (sprained right shoulder) against the Hawks on Thursday night.

  • Lonzo Ball (strained right hip flexor) and Zion Williamson (sprained right thumb) will both miss Thursday’s matchup against the Magic. This will mark Ball’s sixth straight missed game.

  • John Collins will miss at least a week because of a sprained right ankle.

  • ICYMI: Kyle Lowry will miss at least 7-10 more days with a toe infection.
