Group workouts can now resume at practice facilities ahead of the 2020-21 season, the NBA informed teams on Friday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Until now, teams were only allowed to conduct individual workouts.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski added that players must undergo daily COVID-19 testing and receive a negative result to be permitted into the facility.
Workouts will be limited to 10 players, Charania reported.
The league and players union continue to work on a time frame for the start of the 2020-21 season. It appears the league is aiming for somewhere around Christmas Day, with the players reportedly preferring to start on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 18).
