The NBA Draft Combine will be held as regularly scheduled this year, returning to Chicago with in-person evaluators, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, teams were forced to hold mostly virtual pre-draft workouts last year.
But everything appears to be a go for June 21-27 at Wintrust Arena and Marriott Marquis, with scouts, general managers and prospects all back together.
Per Charania, combine workouts will consist of the following:
- Interview sessions
- Five-on-five games
- Shooting drills
- Measurements
- Strength/agility testing
- Halfcourt drills
Interestingly, the draft lottery will be held June 22, the second day of the combine. The 2021 NBA Draft is scheduled for July 29, giving teams plenty of time for individual workouts after the combine.
