The status of the Lakers’ frontcourt remains fluid heading into the 2023 trade deadline. Los Angeles is looking to add a veteran big man to their roster, though the addition may not come via trade.
DeMarcus Cousins will work out for the Lakers at some point next week, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report hears. Haynes also adds that Davis is making progress on his foot injury, experiencing minimal pain as he rehabs, and the team will test Davis’ condition in the coming days.
Davis and Cousins have played together on multiple occasions throughout their basketball careers. Should another reunion come to be, it’s likely that Cousins will ink a 10-day deal with Los Angeles.
In the meantime, the Lakers are bringing in Sterling Brown on a 10-day deal.
