Add the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets to the list of teams supposedly interested in New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard J.J. Redick, insider Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer said on a recent podcast.
Redick, 36, is said to be available ahead of the March 25 trade deadline. He reportedly would be most interested in landing with the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics, and perhaps the Milwaukee Bucks.
Redick was also recently linked to the rising New York Knicks by Marc Berman of the NY Post. Redick’s family currently resides in Brooklyn.
But it appears he is also garnering interest from a few Western Conference teams.
“I’ve heard two other teams that could be connected to J.J. (Redick) and a potential trade and that’s Denver, and Dallas,” O’Connor said.
Redick is averaging 8.3 points in 30 games this season, his lowest scoring average since the 2008-09 season. He is shooting 37 percent on 3-pointers, his lowest in nearly a decade.
