ORLANDO — The Orlando Magic returned home to defeat the New York Knicks 107-89. They wrapped up their four-game trip out West with a 1-3 record. Even though they went 1-3 the team started to improve and mesh together.
The Magic seem to be turning the corner to start getting in the win column. Despite the injuries to some of their key players and some early losses, the Magic sits only 2.5 games out of eighth place in the East. The Magic played with a sense of togetherness and urgency against the Knicks. They were able to earn an 18-point victory over the Knicks.
Terrence Ross led the way for the Magic. Ross scored 30 points off the bench and spoke on what the Magic did to be able to secure victory.
“It was a good team effort, especially since the Knicks have been playing well for the last seven games,β Ross said. βJulius (Randle) has been on a roll and is having a great year. We had to dig deep and figure out how to slow him down. In that second half, we were on the same page, tied together and we closed it out.β
The Magic look to build on this victory on Friday night, against the Golden State Warriors at Amway Center. Last week the Magic lost to the Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Steph Curry went ballistic for 40 points. If the Magic can keep him in check Friday they have a good chance at victory. They look to build on the momentum from this victory over the Knicks. Take that confidence and togetherness and use it to defeat the Warriors Friday. We shall see what happens!
