Magic coach Steve Clifford will miss multiple games as a result of testing positive for COVID-19, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports.
Clifford originally tested positive on Thursday, though he returned two negative tests on Friday, which signaled a false negative. However, after taking another test this weekend, he recorded a positive
“I feel fine,” Clifford said Saturday evening. “I have no temperature. I feel 100%.”
Clifford received both doses of the Moderna vaccine with the second one coming on Thursday.”He is not yet considered fully vaccinated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention protocols, as two weeks have not passed since his final dose,” Woj writes.
Assistant coach Tyrone Corbin will take over head coaching duties while Clifford is away from the team.
