New York Knicks forward Kevin Knox is coming off a difficult sophomore season, but he seems to believe all that is about to change.
Per Ian Begley of SNY, Knox indicated he is expecting a “huge” season ahead under new coach Tom Thibodeau.
“Knox said Tom Thibodeau told his players all summer to come into the season in shape and Knox feels like he’s well conditioned entering camp,” Begley reported.
Knox averaged just 18 minutes per game and 6.4 points. He started only four times and shot 36 percent from the floor. It was a lost season for both Knox and the Knicks.
Others manning the Knicks forward position: Julius Randle, rookie lottery pick Obi Toppin, newcomer Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Reggie Bullock and at times, shooting guard R.J. Barrett.
So the competition at forward is stiff, but some believe Knox will be a renewed player under Thibodeau. You can count Knox among those who feel that way.
