The Milwaukee Bucks regained control of this Eastern Conference Conference Finals series, defeating the Atlanta Hawks 113-102 in Game 3. They now lead the series 2-1.
Khris Middleton led the way for the Bucks. He has proven time and time again that he is a legit go-to threat. Also, that the Bucks don’t have to depend on just Giannis to carry the load. Middleton scored 38 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out seven assists. He shot 15-of-26 from the field and 6-of-12 from the three-point line. He scored 20 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter. He was absolutely on fire. Middleton spoke on how he was feeling it.
“I just finally got them to go,” Middleton said. “I’ve been struggling some with the ball going in the basket. Finally, they started dropping for me at the right time. I’m thankful for that.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 33 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out four assists. He was on straight attack mode and asserting himself to get the victory. Even when the Hawks led, Giannis was constantly in his teammates’ ear getting them to step up. Even with himself playing extremely well he had some extremely high praise for Middleton.
“What he did today was unreal,” Antetokounmpo said. “He was unbelievable. Carried the team at the end. … What I saw today was greatness. Simple as that.”
The Bucks will look to take three game-lead in Game 4 on Tuesday (6/29). Tip-off is 8:30 pm Eastern in Atlanta.
