The Miami Heat came into their latest game against the Milwaukee Bucks short-handed once again. The Heat was without three of their starters. Kyle Lowry, Tyler Herro, and Caleb Martin were all out for the Heat. The Milwaukee Bucks were short-handed as well. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton both were out for the Bucks. The Heat rallied and defeated the Bucks 108-102 in the first of two back-to-back games in Miami. Heat Head Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame about the Heat’s performance.
“We’re developing some grit and mental toughness and stability,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.
Gabe Vincent led the way for the Heat. Vincent scored 28 points on 10-for-17 shooting from the field. Vincent knocked down 5-for-11 from behind the three-point line. Vincent hit 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. He grabbed three rebounds, dished out six assists, and also recorded two steals.
Bam Adebayo scored 24 points on 11-for-19 shooting from the field. He knocked down 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. Adebayo also grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out an assist. Gabe Vincent spoke postgame about how having Adebayo back in the lineup helped the Heat earn the win.
“I think a lot of that goes toward having our center back,” Vincent said after Adebayo returned from a one-game absence with a wrist issue. “He makes the game easy on both sides of the floor for a lot of us.”
