The Miami Heat earned their 14th victory against Oklahoma City Thunder. The Heat defeated the Thunder 110-108 in Oklahoma City. The Heat is striving to get back on track after starting this season slowly. It seems as if the team is putting things together recently. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame about the Heat’s win and their improved play as of late.
βThereβs been a little bit more intent of getting to our actions and finding the open guy without missing the moment,β Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. βWe were finding our open shooters in those open windows that close very quickly in this league.β
Tyler Herro led the way for the Miami Heat. He hit the game-winning two with 4.9 seconds left. Herro scored 35 points on 12-for-23 shooting from the field. Herro knocked down a career-high nine three-pointers going 9-for-17 from behind the three-point line. Herro also grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists in 40 minutes of play. Herro spoke postgame about his game-winner.
βThe play was drawn up for me to shoot it,β Herro said. βIt was one-on-one, so I felt like I had an advantage.β
