The Miami Heat earned their 20th victory of the season, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers on their homecourt in L.A.
The Heat won the game 110-96 to improve to 20-14 overall and 11-8 on the road. During the postgame interview, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra spoke about the team’s performance.
“Duncan’s first-half 3s were more wide open than the one that he hit in front of their bench at the end of the clock. I think that’s where he’s dangerous. He’s ignitable. He sees one go and I think that’s where it changed for him,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “We ended up running our offense through him and Bam on the catch and shoot-off ball movements in the fourth quarter because of that.”
Duncan Robinson was on an absolute roll in the fourth quarter against the Lakers.
Robinson’s offense was virtually non-existent for the majority of the game, scoring only two points heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter though, he caught fire, hitting three 3-pointers in a row. The threes came when the Lakers began to make a run to get back in the game.
Robinson finished with 13 points and two assists off the bench. Robinson spoke on his performance postgame.
“Tonight was a better late than never situation. I was pretty non-existent for three quarters but came around and kept on letting it fly,” Robinson said. “It was a good fourth. We had good activity on both ends and made it difficult for them to guard.”
Tyler Herro led the way for Miami, scoring 21 points on 7-for-19 shooting. He also grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists, and recorded three steals.
