The Miami Heat traveled up north to Orlando to face the Orlando Magic. The Magic have improved and have been playing much better as of late, The Heat and the Magic found themselves in a battle. The game went to overtime and the Heat gutted out the win, 107-103. The Heat have found themselves in close games all season. They have gained so much experience and can get wins in tough circumstances Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke on this during his postgame interview.
“We have a ton of experience, so we have the packages where we know where we want to get the ball, facing all the different coverages that we’ve faced,” coach Erik Spoelstra said. “That’s a big part of it, but you must also get the stops.”
Orlando Magic Head Coach Jamahl Mosely spoke on the Heat’s resilience in close game situations postgame as well.
“They’re a team with a lot of experience and they’ve been in these situations a ton of times,” Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said.
Tyler Herro led the way for the Miami Heat. Herro scored 23 points on 10-for-23 shooting from the field. Herro knocked down 2-for-10 from the three-point line. Herro also grabbed two rebounds and dished out an assist. Jimmy Butler tag-teamed with Herro to help the Heat get the win. Butler scored 22 points on 7-for-17 shooting from the field. He knocked down 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. Butler also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out six assists, and recorded two steals and two blocked shots on the night.
