The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Miami Heat 111-110 to make this series a series again. Trae Young hit a floater with 4.4 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give the Hawks the win. The Hawks were down by 16 points at one point in the second half but were still able to earn the game three victory. Hawks Coach Nate McMillan spoke postgame on his thoughts before Trae Young hit the game-winner.
“No way I was calling a timeout there,” Hawks coach Nate McMillan said. “We got the rebound down by one with the ball in Trae’s hands. That’s a great chance to get in transition.”
Trae Young led the way for the Atlanta Hawks with 24 points on 6-for-14 shooting from the field. Young knocked down 2-for-6 from the field. Young also grabbed four rebounds and dished out eight assists. Young was very confident going into taking the game-winning floater to win the game. He spoke on it simply during the postgame interviews.
