The Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics 106-98 to earn their 49th victory of the season. The Heat now sit at 49-28 overall and are in first place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Miami’s Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame regarding the Heat’s recent struggles and how they have bounced back.
“That’s why I like going through all these kind of games during the regular season,” Spoelstra said. “We had our share of challenges going down the stretch. But what I love about this group is we come in the next day, work at it and really try to get better. Those experiences make you stronger.”
Jimmy Butler once again led the Heat to victory. Butler scored 24 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the field. Butler also grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists.
Kyle Lowry scored 23 points on 8-for-16 shooting from the field. Lowry knocked down 6-for-12 from the three-point line. He also dished out eight assists in the contest.
