The Los Angeles Lakers returned from the All-Star break and are clicking on all cylinders. They were doing the same heading into the All-Star break. The recent trades the Lakers made have reinvigorated this team. The Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors 124-111 to win their 28th game another season. They have now improved to 28-32. The Lakers currently sit just 1.5 games out of a play-in spot. Lakers’ Head Coach Darvin Ham spoke postgame about the Laker’s strong play and the win.
“Just overall great team win. Everybody contributed, everybody had different moments and guys stayed aggressive,” Lakers coach Darvin Ham said. “I feel great about what we’ve been able to do (since the trade deadline). It’s paying dividends right now and we’ve just got to continue to get more and more familiar with one another.”
Malik Beasley led the way for the Lakers with 25 points on 9-for-16 shooting. Beasley knocked down 7-for-11 from the three-point line. Beasley also grabbed three rebounds and dished out an assist. Beasley spoke postgame about taking pressure off LeBron and AD postgame. He stated that he wanted to provide a boost to the team. He did just that and helped the Lakers get the win.
“LeBron and AD didn’t get going as much as they wanted tonight, but we’re deep, and I think that’s the statement we want to make,” Beasley said. “It can be any player on any given night.”
