The Luka Doncic Laker Era is officially here in full swing. Luka looked to be back to his usual self and play after a slow start to the first couple of games of his Lakers’ career. Luka and LeBron seemed to be clicking on all cylinders. They led the Lakers to a 123-100 blowout victory over the Denver Nuggets on the road at Ball Arena in Denver. The Lakers stopped a nine-game winning streak that the Nuggets had going. The victory has the Lakers Nation salivating at the prospects of this season. The Lakers are now in fourth place in the NBA’s Western Conference with a 34-21 record overall. They have improved to 15-14 on the road as well.
Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers with 32 points. He scored his 32 on 10-for-22 shooting. He knocked down 4-for-9 from the three-point line. Doncic also went 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. Doncic also grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out seven assists, recorded four steals, and blocked a shot. Doncic seems to be getting his rhythm back and he is used to his Lakers’ teammates.
Postgame Luka was asked about what it has been like playing with the Lakers and LeBron James, and he said this.
“I think we still have a lot of improvement to go. Chemistry takes take. What you see today through three games. Every day we are going to get better.”
LeBron James chipped in for the Lakers with 25 points. James scored his 25 on 11-for-19 shooting. He knocked down 1-for-4 from the three-point line. He hit 2-for-3 from the free-throw line. James also grabbed nine rebounds, dished out five assists, recorded a steal, and blocked three shots.
