The Los Angeles Lakers snapped their four-game losing streak with a big win in Los Angeles. The Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors 124-116 to earn their 28th victory of the season. The Lakers Head Coach Frank Vogel spoke postgame about where the Lakers currently are. Also spoke about how the Lakers are trying to turn things around.
“We’re in an adjustment phase, and we’re trying to figure it out and find some footing,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said of Los Angeles dealing with the absence of Anthony Davis, who has been out the past 2½ weeks with a midfoot sprain. “And hopefully this is the win that changes that momentum.”
LeBron James had a huge night for the Lakers. James scored 56 points on 19-for-31 shooting from the field. James also hit 6-for-11 from the three-point line. James also grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out six assists. As he has been so many games before, James was the Star of Stars. James spoke postgame about how his teammates were enamored but James scoring 56 points. However, James was really just happy to get back in the win column.
“Our guys were following me off the floor tonight going into the locker room and they asked me, ‘How does it feel to score 56?'” James said. “I said, ‘Right now, I don’t give a damn about the 56. I’m just happy we got a win.’ That’s just literally the first thing that came to my mind.”
“For us to get a win like this in front of our home fans, they deserve it,” James said. “We haven’t been playing like much of anything as of late, so it was good to get a win in front of them.”
