The Miami Heat have officially snapped their seven-game losing skid. The Miami Heat defeated the Sacramento at home at the Kaseya Center, 115-106. The Heat earned their 25th victory of the season and are now 25-23 overall. The Heat also improved to 13-11 at home. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame regarding his team’s determination to break their losing streak coming into this game during the postgame presser.
“The group poured a lot into the last 24 hours,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “Poured into this process, poured into each other, poured into the solutions. I commend the group because in this day and age and in pro sports, it is tough to do that.”
Jimmy Butler led the way for the Miami Heat with 31 points. Butler scored his 31 points on 10-for-14 shooting. Butler knocked down 2-for-3 from the three-point line. He knocked down 9-for-12 from the free-throw line. Butler grabbed seven rebounds, dished out six assists, and recorded a steal. Butler spoke postgame about the Heat’s win and how he didn’t get too low during the losing streak.
“Just remember that we are very fortunate to have a job that we get to hoop, that we get to play before so many great fans,” Butler said of how the Heat approached the skid-ending performance. “We lost control of that for a little bit, the sight that this isn’t as difficult. It could be a lot worse.”
