The Miami Heat defeated the Washington Wizards 112-97 in Miami. The Heat have now improved to 11-5 on the season. Bam Adebayo returned to the lineup after missing the last two games with a bruised left knee. He scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Adebayo spoke postgame on how good it felt to be back on the court postgame.
“Felt great to be out there, felt great to be back around my teammates, felt great to be back in the kennel,” Adebayo said. “My teammates welcomed me back pretty well. I can’t complain. The two-game absence was great for me. I got some rest.”
Jimmy Butler led the way for the Heat. Butler scored 32 points on 11 of 19 shooting from the field. He also grabbed three rebounds and dished out five assists on the night.

Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke on the improvement of this Washington Wizard’s team postgame.
“Look, Washington has really established a way of playing,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “They’re a very good defensive team. You have to really be intentional with your offense, you have to do things with pace, your spacing has to be right on and you have to share the ball.”
