The Miami Heat were extremely short-handed in their latest contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Heat was missing six players including four of their regular starters. The Heat still earned the 112-111 thanks to Jimmy Butler’s three-point play with 12.9 seconds left to play. Playing games down to the wire seems to be a common theme for this Heat team this year. Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke on this and the Heat’s win postgame.
βIt’s just a normal Tuesday night for theΒ Miami Heat,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. βI think this is when we feel most alive, everything happens, and all of our competitive juices get out there. That’s the team we all can relate to. That’s the team I like.”
Jimmy Butler led the way for the Heat. Butler scored 35 points on 6-for-17 shooting from the field. Butler hit 23-for-23 from the free-throw line. Including the game-winning free throw. Butler also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists. Butler also recorded four steals.
