The Heat continued their winning ways at home with a 109-101 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 4, taking a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Miami’s mindset is that the series is of course that it is not over yet: they have a sense of urgency to end this series in New York and Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke on that fact postgame.
“It was great that we were able to hold home court,” Spoelstra said. “But we know we have a task in New York.”
Jimmy Butler once again led the way for the Miami Heat. He continued his 2023 Playoff tear with a 27-point performance. Butler scored 27 points on 9-for-17 shooting. Butler knocked down 1-for-3 from the three-point. He also hit 8-for-9 from the free-throw line. Butler also grabbed six rebounds, dished out 10 assists, and recorded two steals, and two blocked shots. Butler spoke postgame and summarized the Heat’s mindset with a simple statement.
“We’ve got a job to do,” Butler said, “and I think we’re very capable.”
