The Miami Heat defeated the Detroit Pistons on the road by a score of 112-100 and the victory is the team’s 39th of the season.
Miami is making a playoff push at a critical time and how they finish this final stretch of games will determine their seeding.
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame about the win and how important this final stretch of the season is.
“This is going to be our March Madness and April Madness,” Spoelstra said. “The opportunity is right in front of us, and that’s all you can ask for at this part of the season. We are going to have to fight for it — that’s what this is all about.”
Jimmy Butler led the way for the Miami Heat. Butler scored 26 points on 8-for-11 shooting. Butler knocked down 10-for-11 from the free-throw line. Butler grabbed four rebounds and dished out 10 assists as well.
