The Los Angeles Lakers won their 11th game of the season against the Detroit Pistons in Detroit. The Lakers defeated the Pistons 124-117. Anthony Davis scored 34 points on 12-for-18 shooting from the field. Davis also grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out seven assists. Davis spoke postgame about his team’s performance and their wrapping up the road trip positively.
“This was a must-win for us because we wanted to have a successful road trip — at least .500,” Davis said. “The last game is always the toughest to win.”
Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham strongly praised his Superstar, LeBron James postgame.
“LeBron came in with a focus to finish the right way,” Lakers coach Darvin Ham said. “He led the charge and would not allow this game to get away from us.”
LeBron James scored 35 points on 14-for-24 shooting from the field. James knocked down 2-for-6 from behind the three-point line. He hit 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. James also grabbed five rebounds and five assists.
Austin Reaves scored nine points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out two assists on the night. He hit a big three-pointer from the corner to ice the game. He received a great pass from LeBron James, who found him in the corner wide-open. Reaves had huge praise for James’ postgame.
“When you are playing with him, you know he’s always going to make the right basketball play,” Reaves said. “Knowing he has the confidence in me to take that shot builds my confidence.”
