The Miami Heat defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 101-96 at the Wells Fargo Center, earning their 17th victory of the season and improving to 17-12 overall.
The Heat were without Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro but were still able to earn the win.
Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame about his squad’s performance and how they are coming together.
“Everybody is putting their hearts and souls into this,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “I really appreciate this team and what they put into the process. We knew guys were going to have to step up, and we had that tonight.”
Gabe Vincent was the star of the show for the Miami Heat. Vincent scored 26 points on 8-for-16 shooting from the field. He shot 7-for-12 from the three-point line. Vincent grabbed two rebounds and dished out three assists. Vincent also hit the go-ahead three that gave the Heat the lead for good. Vincent spoke postgame about the big three-pointer postgame.
“We had the tip-out, I had a look a the rim for a brief second and I tried not to hesitate,” said Vincent, who shot 7 for 12 from long range. “I’m just trying to win a game. I knew we needed a bucket.”
