The Orlando Magic won their 10th game of the season after inching past the Lakers 119-118 in Los Angeles. Magic Forward Franz Wagner hit the game-winning three with 2.5 seconds to lift the Magic to victory. The Magic missed three starters (Paolo Banchero, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Wendell Carter Jr.). Despite the injuries, the Magic have won seven of their last eight games. The Magic are now 10-7 overall and improve to 3-7 on the road.
Franz Wagner had a huge night scoring 37 points on 13-for-26 shooting. Wagner scored 15 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter. Wagner knocked down 4-for-10 from the three-point line. He hit 7-for-8 from the free-throw line. Wagner also grabbed six rebounds, dished out 11 assists, and recorded four steals on the night.
The Los Angeles Lakers got big contributions from Anthony Davis and LeBron James in the loss. Davis scored 39 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and dished out two assists. LeBron James scored 31 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out seven assists.
