The Miami Heat earned their 37th victory of the season and improved to 37-20 overall after beating the Brooklyn Nets. The Heat won 115-111 at the FTX Arena. The Heat played down to the wire and won the game off of Kyle Lowry’ as big steal at the end of the game. Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame about Lowry’s big steal and the Heat’s play.
“I think that was what it was going to take, some random deflection,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said of Lowry’s defensive play. “It didn’t go necessarily how we wanted it to in the fourth quarter. Particularly when we had the 20-point lead, we allowed them some life with some of our inefficient offense.”
Bam Adebayo led the way for the Miami Heat. Adebayo scored 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting from the field. Adebayo also grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out four assists.
Duncan Robinson stepped up and had a good game as well. Robinson scored 17 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field. He also knocked down 5-for-8 from the three-point line. Robinson also grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists. Robinson spoke on his team’s play and the win postgame.
“We had a good start to the third quarter but then let off a little bit,” Robinson said. “We have to be better than that. But still, to win games down the stretch, having those closing possessions and stops were big.”
