The Milwaukee Bucks were without their Superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo for game two. They desperately did not want to go down 2-0 and lose the first two games of the series at home. The Bucks rose to the occasion. The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Miami Heat 138-122. The score did not seem as close as it appeared. This one was never in doubt the entire way.
The Bucks hit an NBA Playoff record 25 threes on their way to victory. They shot 25 for 49 from behind the three-point line for the game. At one point in the game, it felt like the Bucks were hitting every three they put up. Brook Lopez who scored a team-high 25 points spoke postgame about his team’s performance.
“Everyone’s ready,” Lopez said. “Everyone has the right mentality coming into the game — the mentality it takes to be a Milwaukee Buck. There’s no one above anyone else. We’re just out there trying to win.”
Jrue Holiday also had a strong performance scoring 24 points on 10-for-19 shooting from the field. Holiday knocked down 4-for-10 from the three-point line. Holiday also grabbed five rebounds and dished out 11 assists.
The Milwaukee Bucks will continue to monitor Giannis Antetokounmpo’s back and status as far as game three goes. Bucks’ Head Coach Mike Budenholzer spoke on Giannis’ status postgame.
“We’ll continue to monitor him and expect for him to improve and continue to be optimistic that soon he’ll be ready to play,” Budenholzer said.
