The Miami Heat earned their 42nd victory of the season in Brooklyn, as the team defeated the Nets by a score of 113-107.
Miami maintains their position as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference at 42-22 overall.
Kevin Durant returned to the lineup for Brooklyn after a 21 game absence. However, the Heat was able to overcome Durant’s 31 point output and get the victory. Max Strus who started and scored 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds spoke postgame about how the Heat wanted to make a statement and get this win over the Nets.
“We had a bad taste in our mouth after we lost last night,” Strus said. “I think we should have won that one as well, so coming back tonight with guys out, the team that we had, it was a special game and one we’ll remember for the rest of the season.”
Bam Adebayo led the way for the Miami Heat. Adebayo scored 30 points on 12-for-15 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out six assists.
Tyler Herro also had a big night for the Heat off the bench. Herro scored 27 points on 8-for-19 shooting from the field. Herro also grabbed four rebounds and dished out eight assists on the night.
